Shanaya Kapoor to make film debut with Mohanlal's "Vrushabha," Zahrah Khan also cast

Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, is set to make her film debut in the upcoming Telugu-Malayalam film "Vrushabha," featuring renowned actor Mohanlal in the lead role.

Directed by Nanda Kishore, the film is an epic action entertainer that will also release in Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. "Vrushabha," produced by AVS Studios, First Step Movies, and Balaji Telefilms, will commence filming later this month.

Alongside Shanaya Kapoor, the movie will also feature Zahrah S Khan, daughter of Salma Agha, and Roshann Meka.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on Twitter, describing "Vrushabha" as a pan-India film transcending generations. Adarsh also mentioned that the film has an impressive lineup of producers and will be released simultaneously in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi.

Expressing her excitement about the project, Shanaya Kapoor said, "I am highly excited about facing the camera and begin shooting. The storyline is a fascinating one which has stayed with me. It's the kind of role any young actor would be excited about, and inspired to play. It's a dream come true."

In addition to "Vrushabha," Shanaya Kapoor will be seen in Karan Johar's Bollywood film "Bedhadak," where she will portray the character of Nimrit. The official release date of the film is yet to be announced.

Despite earlier rumors of the film being shelved, Karan Johar confirmed that "Bedhadak" is still on track, with shooting scheduled to commence in the first half of the coming year.
